Dr. Ann Doucette, Director, The Evaluators' Institute (TEI) and the Midge Smith Center for Evaluation Effectiveness (MSCEE) was invited to serve as one of the 15-member pre-juror team in selecting the finalists for the 2013 World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Awards to be announced in Doha, Qatar this October 29th-31st. WISE, an invitation only meeting of world leaders in education, is an initiative of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. More than 1,000 prominent education, corporate, political and social leaders from over 100 countries gathered for the Summit at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha to explore how collaboration in many forms and at many levels can become the driving force of efforts to inspire innovation in education and to design long-term strategies for its renewal. The three-day Summit offers a unique opportunity for all the participants to find out more about the most cutting-edge practices in education, network with high-level people from all sectors and from all countries, and to actively participate in building the future of education. The WISE Prize for Education is awarded during the Summit to an individual or a team in recognition of an outstanding contribution to education.
